Vagabond returned from a four-day trip August 2. Gordon Lackey skippered the trip and tied the rig at Pt. Loma Sportfishing.
"It's just gorgeous weather out there," said Gordon. "We had good people on this one, and they had a good time."
Roger Henne of Mesa, AZ won first place for a 26-pound albacore. He flylined the longfin with a sardine bait on a 2/0 Gorilla hook. Roger used 40-pound Ande line on an
Avet LX reel and a Seeker 6470 Black Steel rod.
Richard Hestlow of Corona won second place for a 26-pound yellowtail, and Angelo Pestrivas of Phoenix, AZ won third place, for a 24.4-pound dorado.
